Lunenburg County’s Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9954 recently wrapped up an expansion to its building recently, located in Victoria. The expansion includes a new 30-foot by 30-foot extension, which will serve as a meeting place for the post auxiliary, offering space to host district meetings for posts across the region. It’s the hope of VFW leadership that the new space will allow for more programming and participation by younger families and veterans. We share the hope of the post. We commend the post and its members and leaders for expanding its building with hopes of greater awareness and membership for such an important organization to our community. To learn more about the organization, contact Lunenburg VFW Commander Claude Tomlinson (434) 696-2966. (Send us a “Pic Me Up” with names and information to PicMeUp@KVDispatch.com)
