Raiders outpace Chargers on offense to win 63-49

Central High School’s varsity football team was competitive against one of the top two teams in the James River District on Friday night, but visiting Amelia County High School pulled away in the second half to halt the Chargers’ four-game win streak and hand them a 63-49 homecoming loss.
The Chargers (4-5) have a bye next week but return to conclude their regular season Friday, Nov. 3, when they visit Nottoway High School (5-3) at 7 p.m.
