Portions of the sidewalks at Central High School (CHS) are undergoing repairs, the principal confirmed Thursday.
CHS Principal John Long said portions of the sidewalk adjacent to the gymnasium entrance are being repaved. The old concrete is being removed and fresh concrete is being poured in.
“Portions of the sidewalk are being redone with monies collected from parking fees that are paid for student decals,” Long said. “The portions that are in the worst disrepair are being fixed first.”
Robert Green, who owns Green’s Masonry & Concrete in Blackstone, is taking on the repairs. “Other portions may be fixed when we have additional funding,” Long said.
