Dozens of students from Central High School (CHS), as well as one lamb, sported a unique array of clothing from county and regional stores during the annual CHS Fashion Show, held Sunday afternoon.
Merchants that provided suits, dresses and casual wear included BLISS of Lunenburg, Next in Line of Kenbridge, Lu La Roe with Amanda Brooks and Carrie Wilson, Flossy by T of South Hill, Southernly Sweet Teas, Strutz Formal Wear of Farmville, Hibbetts of South Hill, Fab’rik of Carytown and David’s Bridal of Richmond.
During an intermission, participants sold pies, baked goods and popcorn to raise funds for CHS Prom and After- Prom party. Masters of Ceremonies Shakeyau Jackson and Edith Glidewell provided commentary and introduced the models and merchants, and allowed a few store owners to speak during the show.
Student models, who represented numerous athletic and student groups at the high school, provided wows and laughs as they strode down the red-carpeted runway and displayed their outfits.
A standout model was Lambchop, who was carried down the runway by Charles Kunath. The lamb wore a black tie affixed to his collar.
