Saturday, Oct. 5 saw the inaugural Oktoberfest at Rosewood Tavern in Lunenburg. Participants enjoyed authentic German Beer from three of the main Munich breweries along with German food, three bands, a beer tent, a bounce house for children and hay rides. All the staff wore traditional German dress and the event ran from noon to 9 p.m. According to organizers the day was a great success and the next Oktoberfest is in the planning for 2020 on Saturday, Oct. 3.
