Kavs to play archrivals for football title

Kenston Forest School’s varsity football team will host archrival Brunswick Academy on Friday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. in the Virginia Independent School Football League Division 2 championship game. The Vikings advanced to compete against the Kavaliers after defeating Southampton Academy 44-36 on Friday, Nov. 1. Coming off a bye week, junior quarterback Moe’Wuante “Moe Moe” Morrison, pictured above bursting through the banner, and the rest of the Kavs (6-4) will be facing Brunswick for the third time this season. Kenston Forest shut out the visiting Vikings 39-0 on Aug. 30, and then topped them 56-14 on the road Sept. 20. To go 3-0 against Brunswick, the Kavaliers will be relying upon junior running back/linebacker Quinton Hawkins, Morrison and junior lineman Thomas Inge.
