A few Lunenburg County residents recently received notification this week they were winners of two $50 gift cards; one to Walmart and the other to Food Lion.
These gift cards were given anonymously to Kenbridge Town Manager, Tony Matthews, with the stipulation that they must be given out to a randomly selected student from each of the Lunenburg County Schools and to one citizen in Lunenburg County.
Working with the administrators of LCPS, students were randomly selected and contacted about their winnings.
Winners are as follows: Kenbridge Elementary School- Cleyma Ramirez Chavez, Victoria Elementary School- Mahina Akau, Lunenburg Middle School- Elijah Mathis, and Central High School- Jesse Lynn Watson.
Jean Wilson of Kenbridge was the recipient of the citizen gift cards.
