Longwood men’s basketball will hold a youth summer basketball camp from Monday-Thursday, June 26-29.
Registration is now open for the camp, which is open to all children from the age of five years old to rising ninth graders. The camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day for the four days.
The cost is $125, and it includes a t-shirt, Longwood giveaways, awards and a camp certificate at the conclusion of the camp.
In addition, there is an option for after care that runs from 3 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. for $25 for the week, with the payment and registration available during check in.
Campers will be instructed on the fundamentals of basketball by the Longwood men’s basketball coaching staff. Campers will do skill work at stations as well as playing various games to put the skills to use.
The campers will have a break in the day for lunch, which is not provided. There will be pizza or Bojangles on sale each day, or campers can bring a lunchbox or bag with their name on it that will be placed in a nearby classroom during the morning portion of camp. In addition, parents or campers may put money in a “camp bank” to use throughout the week to purchase snacks and drinks, with the remaining money at the end of the camp returned to the camper.
