Betty Amos Motley, 84 of Drakes Branch, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Nov. 1. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Bobby L. “Mickey Motley; her daughter, Teresa Motley Henley; her loving parents, Bennie W. and Ila R. Amos; her brothers, Kermit E. (Sanford), Wade (Ruth Carol), Richard E. (Doris) and James D.(Lucille), and sisters, Alease Tripp, Pauline Rutledge, Gladys Boswell, Estelle Davis, Myrtle Cottle, Odell Hagaman, Jean Haag, Frances Palmer, and Nancy Richardson.
She is survived by her brother, Douglas Amos (Mary Frances); grandson, Christopher Brandon Henley; granddaughter, Destiny Henley Woods; two great grandchildren; a special granddaughter, Laney Palmer Daniel (Greg); their children, Bryson and William; and many nieces and nephews.
Betty was a life member and Elder of Ontario Christian Church, and a dedicated member of VFW Auxiliary Post #9954 in Victoria. She will be remembered by family and friends for her great love of family, the children she babysat, her expertise in quilting, and her willingness to help others any way she could.
The family will hold a memorial celebration of her life and service to her Lord at Ontario Christian Church at a later date.
