We now know when the Christmas season will officially get started in Lunenburg County. The date has been set for this year’s Lunenburg County Christmas parade, which will take place in Victoria on Friday, Dec. 6, once the sun goes down.
Specifically, it’s set to begin at 7 p.m., with that time chosen so children and other onlookers can better see Christmas lights, which will be adorned on the different floats and vehicles that drive through. This isn’t just the town’s Christmas parade. It’s the official parade for all of Lunenburg County. The parade participants typically line up on Tidewater Avenue and go down Main Street, before making the loop.
Now if anyone wants to take part in the Lunenburg County Christmas Parade, with say a float, marching band, farm equipment or any item of that nature, just fill out the entry form and return it to the Victoria Town Office or email the filled out form to vicca@victoriava.net. As to where those are? You may pick up an entry form at the Victoria Town Office. Line up for members of the parade will start at 6 pm on Tidewater Avenue in Victoria. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, parade organizers invite people to please feel free to call the Victoria Town Office at (434) 696-2343 on extension 4.
