Yvette Neal, a dedicated rural letter carrier with 32 years of service at the Victoria Post Office, has earned the prestigious National Safety Council (NSC) Million Mile Award, a joint effort between the United States Postal Service (USPS) and the NSC.
This award recognizes drivers, like Neal, right, who have achieved one million miles of safe driving or 30 years of accident-free driving without a preventable incident.
Neal’s commitment to safety is exemplary, and her achievement is a source of pride for the Victoria Post Office and the entire USPS community. Neal began her career in 1993 and the Million Mile Award is a testament to her dedication to safe driving and her remarkable achievement of a million accident-free miles.
“We are incredibly proud of Yvette and her outstanding dedication to safety and customer service,” said Betty Jo Toombs, left, Postmaster of the Victoria Post Office. “This award is a well-deserved recognition of her hard work and commitment to delivering mail safely every day.”
The Million Mile Award is a symbol of excellence in professional driving, and Neal joins a distinguished group of postal workers who have earned this recognition.
The national leadership team agreed, saying Neal is a true role model for safe driving practices and a valuable asset to the USPS.
“The USPS is proud to recognize the achievements of its employees, especially those who demonstrate a commitment to safety and excellence,” the department said in a statement.
