Ricky Ramirez Morales, a third-grade student at Kenbridge Elementary School (KES), was awarded Student of the Quarter during the Lunenburg Chamber of Commerce meeting Thursday. KES Principal Lucy Hall presented the certificate. Ricky was nominated by multiple teachers at the school for the award, Hall said.

Ricky is an honor roll student, according to Hall, and volunteers by tending the KES garden with a teacher.

According to a letter of recommendation read by Hall, Ricky is “eager to learn and participate in and out of the classroom environment. He always has a positive attitude, and greets people with a smile and a warm welcome. He is kind to others and helps all of those in need. He is an asset to our school with his enthusiasm for learning and his willingness to make others feel important.”
