Central High School’s varsity girls basketball team will look to continue the improvement it showed last season as the 2017- 18 season gets underway next week, but the Lady Chargers will be doing so with a new starting lineup.

“The Lady Chargers only return 3 players that began the season on Varsity last year,” Central Head Coach Scott Wilson said. “The starting five graduated. Looking at the rosters around the (James River District), we will be the most inexperienced team in the district. With that being said, the team has a great attitude and is working hard. I look forward to see them improve throughout the season.”

Expected to be leaders are senior center Megan Dech and senior guard Brittany Tomlinson.
