A 48-year-old Victoria man was arrested Monday for solicitation of second-degree murder and for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

According to the Lunenburg County Sheriff’s Office, a search warrant and arrest warrant for Dwayne Matthew Brown were executed Monday with the assistance of Virginia State Police and the Victoria Police Department on 12th Street in Victoria.

Brown is scheduled to appear before Lunenburg General District Court on Wednesday for arraignment. The incident is still under investigation.
