Central High School’s young varsity football team showed growth Friday night in its first home game of the season, but it could not overcome the significant strength of William Campbell High School and ended up falling 41-21.
Despite the loss, the Chargers cleaned up some of their mistakes from their season-opening loss the week prior.
Central (0-2) begins its James River District schedule next week when it visits Goochland High School on Friday at 7 p.m.
