The Lunenburg Charity Fund, Inc., (LCFI) recently made donations to six Lunenburg County charities. These donations bring LCFI’s 12 year total to more than $115,000, all to Lunenburg County charitable organizations. Steve Israel (standing), president of LCFI and John Scales, vice president of LCFI made the presentations on Nov. 30, at the Lunenburg Health Services facility in Victoria. Receiving donations this year are, from left, Kenbridge Salvation Army, Cleveland Johnson; TPCC Food Pantry, Mary Martin; Victoria Salvation Army, Edith Glidewell; Friends of the Ripberger Public Library, SallieAnn Buchanan; Lunenburg Health Services, Bagley Hawthorne; and Lunenburg County Ministries, Robert Ledbetter. LCFI also sponsors Young Audiences Arts for Learning programs at both the Kenbridge and Victoria Elementary Schools in the spring and send children to 4-H camps in the summer. These donations and sponsorships are made possible by LCFI fundraisers and the generous support of individuals and businesses in Lunenburg County.
