Central High School’s young varsity boys basketball team continued to work through some difficulties on offense during its final game of 2018 while also showing some improvement on that side of the ball.
The Chargers fell 60-22 to host Randolph-Henry High School on Dec. 18 to finish the 2018 portion of their schedule with an 0-3 record.
“Once again we did not execute on offense and had a poor rebounding effort,” Central Head Coach Mike McGrath said. “We did cut our turnovers down significantly.”
What he identified as remaining an area of needed growth was something that is connected to the Chargers jelling as a team.
“We need to trust each other in executing our offense,” he said.
Central will return to action after the holiday break Wednesday at 7 p.m. on the road against Prince Edward County High School. On Friday, the Chargers will host Amelia County High School at 7 p.m.
