Patsy Scott was named the 2019 Citizen of the Year, and Kenbridge Auto & Tire Services was name 2019 Business of the Year at the Luneburg County Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet held at the Victoria Rescue Squad Station #7 on Saturday, Jan. 18.
In regards to Scott, Ashley Sweitzer Lunenburg Chamber of Commerce Board Secretary said, “Patsy Scott goes above and beyond to help with the Salvation Army in multiple counties. And so many people would not have Christmas or Thanksgiving if it wasn’t her doing God’s work.”
Kenbridge Tire & Auto Services located at 415 Main St., Kenbridge is owned by Maggie and William Seward.
Sweitzer noted, “Kenbridge Tire is such an amazing business and I’m really glad that they were chosen, not only are they warm and nice and friendly and very professional to work with they also do a lot for the county. They give back to the county. They keep the fire trucks going, the vehicles that have to be maintained in the county. That’s amazing.
When asked about receiving the Business of the Year award Maggie had this to say, “We really appreciate it (the award) it’s a great honor. But we couldn’t do it without our employees.”
