Rosa Mae Foster was born in Victoria, Virginia, on November 27, 1943, to David L. and Bertha Henry Foster. Early in her life she was baptized at First Baptist Church in Victoria, Virginia, and faithfully served there until her health declined in later years.

Rosa learned to play the piano at a young age and generously shared her musical talent in the church for most of her life. She also faithfully committed herself to the church through long standing participation in the Sunday school program and several choirs, as well as the Missionary Circle.

Rosa graduated from Lunenburg High School in 1962. In 1969 she completed clerk-typist training and graduated from Southside Training Vocational School Crewe, Virginia.

Rosa Mae Foster departed this earthly life to her Heavenly home on April 4, 2020, at Johnston Willis Hospital, Richmond, Virginia.

Preceding Rosa in death are her parents, a Sister Annie L. Mason and a brother David D. Foster.

She leaves to cherish beautiful memories her sisters Sarah M. Foster (“Rebe”) of Victoria, Virginia; Doris Andrews of Columbia, Maryland; nephew Henry T. Mason of Suffolk, Virginia; niece Connie Daniels of Converse, Texes; two great-nephews, one great-niece, and many cousins, relatives and friends.
