Allen Wayne King, 64 of Kenbridge, joined his family in Heaven on Jan. 6. He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen Long King and Aerie Alein King; his sister, Betty K. Kirby and nephew, Ryan Allen Clapper. 

He is survived by his son, Justin W. King; daughter, Rebecca K. Dailey (Christopher ); his grandchildren, McKayla, Camren and Alinea Jane; his sister, Dottie K. Gregory (Mike); his brother, Albert King (Mary Sue); brother-in-law, Bernie Kirby and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. 

Wayne graduated from Central High School and served our country in the U.S. Navy. He worked with the Austins in logging. 

He will always be remembered for his easy smile and the love he had for his family and friends. He always said if you ain’t got friends you ain’t got nothing. 

Memorial services will be held Friday, Jan. 12, at 3 p.m., at Clark Funeral Home in Kenbridge, visitation to follow. In lieu of flowers please consider memorial donations to the Victoria Church of the Nazarene, P.O. Box 376, Victoria, Virginia.
