“Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in Thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.” — Psalm 19:14.
What we listen to and allow into our spirits shapes our lives. Some sounds and voices we encounter may not be more beneficial. We must discern and eliminate them. Some melodies and individuals should not find a place in our lives. Music that fails to uplift and people who dampen our spirits are both detrimental. In these choices, we are not alone. Jesus calls us to live for Him and guides us in making wise choices. Respect is a vital aspect of life; once lost, it’s a challenge to restore. However, it is possible to regain it. At times, we may find ourselves lost in our thoughts, losing sight of what transpired.
Self-love is a prerequisite for respect. When we love ourselves, we will not hurt each other’s feelings; therefore, there will be respect.
The music we listen to and the people we surround ourselves with shape our lives, such as the dirty sex song and the disrespect for women. We must not allow them and the people who are constantly complaining.
We must be careful of our words because the Bible says it is not important what goes into our bodies but what comes out, as it says in Mark 7:15.
Be blessed in Jesus’ name.
