Sarah Daniel Fenwick of LaCrosse was recently installed as president of the Delta Alpha Chapter of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International. She replaces outgoing chapter president Dr. Joy Hurt of Nottoway, who is moving up to the position of secretary of the multi-chapter coordinating council that serves the area.
Fenwick, a native of Lunenburg and a graduate of Central High School, is completing her fourth year of teaching Statistics, Precalculus, and Calculus at the Governor’s School of Southside Virginia in Keysville. Previously she had taught a variety of secondary math courses in Warren County, North Carolina, as well as in Lunenburg and Mecklenburg Counties. She holds a math degree from Longwood and a master’s in Secondary Mathematics Education from Western Governors University.
The Delta Kappa Gamma Society is an honorary organization for key women educators. Members of the Delta Alpha chapter live and/or teach in a cluster of counties in south central Virginia.
