The Lunenburg County Chamber of Commerce will prepare decals for its member and brochures as a way to highlight its presence and the locality.
Members approved printing and distributing the chamber brochures and purchasing logo decals and clings for members to display at their places of business during their recent luncheon at Mildred’s Meals in Kenbridge. The brochures will be put in public places in the county.
“Every place people look I want them to see our name,” Chamber President Mel Payne said.
The cost of the brochure has not been determined, and the chamber hopes to have that information in time for its meeting later this month.
Payne said the group wants to spread the word about its efforts and what the county has to offer.
“We are moving in the right direction,” Payne said. “Membership has more than doubled. We’ve got activities coming up; we’re going to continue to have activities, and they are done by great people. We want people to put their head up in other counties and say, ‘What’s going on in Lunenburg County?’”
