DECEMBER 21 

MEDITATION AT THE LIBRARY — The Meditation for Busy People class will meet on Saturday, Dec. 21 at the Victoria Library, located at 1517 7th Street. It will run from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Attendees will learn several simple research-based meditation practices to improve overall wellness that easily fit into a busy schedule. Call or text Angie Tharpe at 434-447-9465 for more information. This is a free class.

DECEMBER 22

MORNING WORSHIP – Gilfiedd Baptist Church, located in Kenbridge, will hold a worship service on Sunday, Dec. 22, beginning at 11 a.m. There will be a children’s skit of “Santa Says to Teach the Children”. Refreshments will be served afterwards. 

MORNING WORSHIP — Victoria Baptist Church, located at 1423 8th Street in Victoria, will hold morning worship on Sunday, Dec. 22. Sunday school starts at 9:45 a.m. and worship begins at 11 a.m. 

DECEMBER 24

CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE – Thrifts Chapel United Methodist Church will hold a Christmas Eve Candlelight Service of Lessons and Carols, starting at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24. The church is located at the intersection of Marshalltown and Poorhouse Roads, outside Victoria. 

CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE — Victoria Baptist Church, located at 1423 8th Street in Victoria, will hold their Candlelight Christmas Eve Service on Tuesday, Dec. 24, starting at 5 p.m. 

CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE – Kenbridge United Methodist Church, located at 201 E. 5th Avenue in Kenbridge, will hold a Christmas Eve service at 5 p.m.

CHRISTMAS BY CANDLELIGHT – Victoria Christian Church, located at 2300 Lee Avenue in Victoria, will hold its traditional candlelight service on Christmas Eve. That’s Tuesday, Dec. 24 at 5 p.m. The story of Jesus will be told, with carols and other special music. 

CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE – Kenbridge Christian Church, located at 519 S. Broad Street in Kenbridge, will hold a Christmas Eve service at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24.

DECEMBER 29 

CHRISTMAS PLAY – Oak Grove Baptist Church in Kenbridge will hold a nativity play on Sunday, Dec. 29, beginning at 5 p.m. 

DECEMBER 31 

NEW YEAR’S EVE SERVICE – Oak Grove Baptist Church in Kenbridge will hold its New Year’s Eve service, starting at noon. 

JANUARY 4

WIDOWER’s MITE – The Widow(er)’s Mite Group will meet for lunch at Marino’s, starting at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 4. All widows and widowers welcome.
