“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Thy sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer.” Psalm 19:14.

Reflecting on the beginning of 2025, we are reminded of the power of hope and resilience in adversity. Although we were initially greeted with shocking news that shook our spirits, we have also witnessed remarkable stories of positivity and transformation unfolding around us. This year is not just a new number on the calendar; it represents a fresh opportunity to embrace life with gratitude and joy. By acknowledging and giving thanks for our blessings, we can shift our focus from uncertainty to the wonderful experiences that await us.

Let us celebrate the good in our lives, fostering community and support. We have the power to influence each other’s perspectives and, in doing so, create a ripple effect of positivity that can uplift us all.

Join me in recognizing the beauty around us, expressing gratitude, and spreading kindness. Together, we can navigate the challenges and emerge stronger, bringing hope into every day of this promising new year. One day, a man opened the door for me as I entered a grocery store. I thanked him, and he responded, “It’s my pleasure to open the door for you.” We chatted for a while, and I learned about his background. His grandmother and mother raised him after his father passed away when he was sixteen. He shared his father’s wisdom: “Always treat a woman and a person respectfully.”

‘The words of my mouth’

During my visit to Mexico, our waiter was exceptional in his service. He was always attentive, anticipating our needs without us having to ask. Jose’s delightful smile effortlessly made us feel comfortable and welcomed, enhancing our dining experience.

Reflecting on the blessings Jesus has given me, I can’t help but think of the geese in our yard by the pond. This morning, the pond is frozen, with the geese still inside. At first, I worried about their safety, but this was natural behavior for them. They huddle together in the pond, with a few resting on the lawn. I am grateful to Jesus each day for the chance to witness the beauty of His creation surrounding me.

Jesus, I feel profoundly blessed—not just by material possessions, though I have those—but by Your boundless love and protection. You awaken my spirit each morning and gently guide me through the day. You remove obstacles from my path and lovingly help me find rest at night, ready to start anew. What an incredible God! Who wouldn’t want to devote their life to serving such a magnificent God?

As we continue moving through this new year, let’s take a moment to reflect on the blessings in our lives. Each day brings new challenges and opportunities, and we must recognize the support we receive from one another. Jesus blesses us, and I’ve seen the messages of hope and encouragement shared among friends on social media.

Imagine our impact if we carry that positivity into our daily lives. I commit to uplifting one another through the words of my mouth, sharing my faith, and spreading kindness. If we all do so, we’ll enrich our lives and create a ripple effect that touches those around us. May Jesus bless us in the new year, guiding us toward love, compassion, and community. Together, we can make this year truly special!

Be Blessed In Jesus’ Name.
