Numerous programs as part of Twin Lakes State Park will begin at 9 p.m. Saturday.

The events take place every Saturday with a park ranger, exploring the senses of participants and the forest at night.

“We’ll enjoy hikes, campfires, stargazing and more,” the park’s website notes. “Join us this week to see what adventure the ranger has in store.”

“Nighttime Forest” will explore senses as participants see how the night changes perceptions of the world around us. “We will discover how some senses are heightened and some diminish as the sun goes down,” the website states.

“Gone Batty” will offer information on bats.

“Often misunderstood, our resident bats are actually our best friends. Do you know how many mosquitoes one bat will eat a night?” the website asks.

“The Night Sky” will allow exploration of constellations in the night sky. “We will spot some of our favorites, as well as trying to see satellites and planets.”
