When will the pool open in the Town of Victoria? That’s a question The Dispatch has fielded several times over the last couple of weeks. Now the town has provided an answer. The start for this season is Friday, May 23, beginning at 11 a.m.
This season, the pool will be open Monday through Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for anyone who buys a daily pass for $10. Those with a season pass will get in either a bit earlier or a bit later. Season pass holders will have exclusive hours, town officials said this week, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. each day or from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
A season pass this year is $150 for an individual pass and $275 for a family pass. The family pass is for four family members, parents and unmarried children ages 22 and under. Each additional family member beyond the first four is an extra $25. The individual pass, meanwhile, qualifies for anyone 12 years or older.
Children ages three and under are free to get in, but they must be accompanied by an adult. There are bathrooms at the pool, along with tables, pool chairs and a concession stand. Anyone who wants to sign up for a season pass, you just go to the Town of Victoria website, www.victoriava.net and print off the application form or click here. You can also stop by the town hall to get information. That’s located at 1809 Main Street in Victoria.
