The John Goode Chapter and the Meherrin Chapter of National Society Colonial Dames XVII Century met jointly on Aug. 7 in South Hill for a luncheon hosted by the John Goode Chapter and arranged by member Lisa Vaughan. The highlight of the meeting was a fascinating presentation by “Ladies Victorian,” who demonstrated in authentic fashion what women wore in both the American colonial and Civil War periods.
