Historical Society to meet Sunday

Learn about DNA tests for genealogical purposes at the Lunenburg County Historical Society’s meeting Sunday, April 9, at 2 p.m. at the Ripberger Public Library in Kenbridge. The speaker will be Diane Langston, of Amelia, an administrator of a family DNA Project who is in her 34th year as a school librarian. Langston will present a PowerPoint program on DNA tests for genealogy. She plans to cover what DNA is, what type of DNA is tested, what companies will provide DNA tests for genealogy and what information the DNA tests can and cannot provide. Langston will also provide handouts and answer.

The public is invited to attend.
