Welcome to Hall, Jackson

We share the excitement of Division Superintendent Charles Berkley in the naming of Lucy Hall and Casey Jackson of Kenbridge Elementary School and Victoria Elementary School, respectively.

We think the duo will make for a great team in leading the county’s two elementary schools.

For youth ascending the ranks of preschool, kindergarten, first grade, second grade and beyond, it’s vital that students receive the best possible instruction through rich knowledge, and we think Hall and Jackson will continue to strengthen what’s already in place at the schools through continuing the great work of teachers, staff and administrators.

The two were introduced to the Lunenburg County School Board on June 30.

Jackson was formerly the assistant principal of South Hill Elementary School in Mecklenburg and studied at Longwood University.

Hall served as the assistant principal of Kenbridge Elementary School for two years prior to being named principal and also studied at Longwood University.

The two, who began their new roles July 1, have worked together before, focusing on overcoming financial concerns for the schools in addition to continuing to improve student test scores and school programs.

“We’re excited about working as a team,” Jackson said, “working hard to collaborate on where we are and where we want to go. I know we’re both looking forward to working with the students, staff and community.”

Hall said their collaborative approach will bring new solutions to challenges the schools face, including financial difficulties and student testing scores.

“The need for both elementary schools to be on the same page will be a huge instrument of growth in our division,” Hall said.

We look forward to the strong teamwork and leadership exhibited by Hall and Jackson that will better our community’s youth and in turn brighten the future of Lunenburg County.
