Ellen C. Bowling was born January 27, 1936 to the late Elijah and Lily Mae Clark in Cordele, GA. On Saturday, August 19th, 2017 she departed her earthly home. Ellen received her education in the Cordele, Georgia school system. She also began her field of study in Nursing while in high school. She went on to become a very dedicated LPN, who cherished her patients and sincerely loved her job. Eventually the next chapter in her life would began in Newark, NJ where she met and married Forest E. Bowling (preceded in death). To that union they were blessed with one son, Richard L. Bowling. One of Ellen’s greatest joys was her family. Cherishing her memory is her son Richard, his wife, Theadora and her very loved grandsons Caleb, Isaiah and Christian, four sisters, Ora Mae Miller, Bernice Mincey, Ruetune Taylor and Rosa Colbert, one brother, Carl Clark, two sisters-in-law Joann and Gale Clark, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 26, 2017, 11 a.m. at Bethlehem RZUA Church, Lunenburg, VA, with Pastor Pam Simmons officiating. Interment in the church cemetery.
