Ernest Phillip ‘Phil’ DriggsErnest Phillip “Phil” Driggs, 74 of Nutbush, joined his family in Heaven on Dec. 7. He was the son of the late Melvin Lane Driggs and Marion Estelle Layne Driggs and brother of the late Ronnie L. Driggs. 

He is survived by his son, Ernest P. Driggs Jr. (Amy) of Alberta; his daughters, Candy Epps (Steve) of Victoria and Crystal Gayle Loan of Washington; 10 grandchildren, Jason “JJ”, Alex, Alana, Christen, Dillon, Orlandus, Jaden, Malakai, Sudie and Rowly; his sister-in-law, Phyllis T. Driggs and special niece, Debbie D. Cochran (Jeff). 

Phil graduated from Victoria High School and worked as a machine operator for Diemolding Corporation in Victoria. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, old muscle cars and spending time with his family. 

The family received friends Monday, Dec. 11, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., at the Staples Funeral Home in Victoria, where funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 12, at 3 p.m. Interment in the Lakeview Cemetery, Victoria. In lieu of flowers please consider memorial donations to Laurel Hill United Methodist Church, C/O Phyllis Driggs, 402 Our Road, Victoria, Virginia 23974.
