An extension to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Lunenburg Post 9954 in Victoria was recently completed.
The project, which began in March, was finished in mid-July, according to Quarter Master Ron Misorski.
The 30-foot by 50-foot space will serve as the meeting place for the VFW Post’s Auxiliary and will host district meetings for post leaders across the Heart of Virginia.
Misorski said he hopes the space, which was contracted by Lewis Welding and Construction Works Inc. in Lunenburg, will encourage participation from families and younger veterans.
The VFW Post holds a breakfast meeting on the second Saturday of each month at 8 a.m. and a dinner meeting on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m.
