Helping our neighbors to the south

An amazing showing of the community united in Lunenburg on Saturday as St. Matthew’s Baptist Church sponsored a donation gathering in front of Captain’s Choice, resulting in a half a truck full of donated nonperishable goods given by 125 groups of people — including churches, individuals and other organizations — which will go to one of the areas affected by hurricanes Irma and Harvey in the southeast. We commend those who donated, helped out on site and those who are helping get the donations to the victims.
