The annual Lighting of the Lake at Twin Lakes State Park will be held Saturday, Sept.14. Beginning at 5 p.m., the Friends of Twin Lakes invite you to write letters of gratitude to active duty service members. There will be bluebird and wood duck box kits for sale. They may be purchased, assembled and later installed in the park. At 6 p.m., paper lanterns will be available to decorate in memory of the lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001. The ceremony will begin at 7 p.m., followed by the opportunity to launch the lanterns on the lake.
