As mentioned last week, I’ve been spending time in Victoria with family and friends. And while we talked about Beulah Reavis’s birthday party last time, it’s worth bringing up again. At breakfast, the air was filled with the joyous anticipation of Beulah’s birthday party. Though she couldn’t see the intricate decorations her family had lovingly prepared, she could feel the palpable love and excitement that enveloped her. Each family member took turns to share their cherished memories of her. Tears of joy glistened on her face as she sat regally on her throne, the family’s beloved matriarch.

Many family and friends came from all over to celebrate Beulah’s birthday. It was amazing to honor a wonderful woman who has given her time and love. She has advised her family and friends. Her daughters-in-law Shawnequa and Elsie did everything a daughter would do for her mother. The place was amazingly decorated, and the food and drinks were outstanding. Beaulah had five outfits but chose a beige and gold pantsuit with hanging tails. She marched in the song “Grace,” escorted by her grandsons and sons.

Beaulah has five sons, two daughters-in-law, multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren, two sisters, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

We were blessed to celebrate her 90th birthday. May God continue to bless and keep her.

During the party, family and friends adorned her with six dozen roses, expressing our feelings of love and gratitude.
