“Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in Thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.” Psalm 20:14.
While walking down the hall at work, I saw two women approaching from different directions. One of the women stopped and asked the other to purchase a religious card she was selling. She said, “You know nothing about me, yet you asked me to buy a religious card.”
The woman replied, “I saw your light, knew who you were, and could speak to you.”
It reminds me of the last time I was in Victoria. I saw someone I knew many years ago. Thank God she is a different person today, letting her light shine for Jesus.
Jesus is working through my Facebook friends. Every day, they share their testimony about Jesus’ goodness. Jesus blesses us in many ways, some of which we recognize and others we take for granted. It’s wonderful to read their praises about Jesus. Jesus deserves more than we can ever give Him when considering what He has done for us. Jesus has given us His Spirit; so that we can let our lights shine for Jesus so that others may want to become a part of Jesus’ kingdom.
When I lived in New York, I volunteered for the Handicapped Olympics. What stuck in my mind and continues to make me proud is that when one person fell, the others stopped and picked him up. The crowd went wild.
As God’s children, we are to help each other by encouraging one another. A kind word goes a long way, and Jesus sees it. Truly a time to “let the words of my mouth” impact my community.
Jesus wants our lives to shine and to tell a dying world that He is alive.
“The Lord is my Light and my Salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the Strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” Psalm 27:1.
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven.” Matthew 5:16.
Be Blessed In Jesus’ Name.
