Colonel Michelle Rose (right) is shown here with Linda Bagley, of Kenbridge, vice regent of the William Taylor Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Colonel Rose, who lives in Isle of Wight County with her husband and three daughters, entered the Virginia Army National Guard in 1994. She spoke to the group at its October meeting about the Virginia National Guard’s State Partnership Program with Tajikistan, one of the break-away republics in Central Asia that was previously a part of the Soviet Union. The DAR, a patriotic organization, supports the U.S. military and is always interested in the operations of the Virginia National Guard.
