“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17.

Jesus said we are new creatures when we give our lives to him. The things we did before are unimportant because we have found a better way: living for Jesus. All things come from God, who has integrated us into Himself by Jesus Christ and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.

“We are ambassadors for Christ, as though God called you by us; we pray you in Christ’s stead, you are committed to God. God thinks so highly of us that He gave Jesus, who had no sin, for us so that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.” — 2 Corinthians 5:20-21. and John 3:16.

“We are the sons of God, but we do not know what we will be until Jesus returns, and we will be like Jesus. Jesus is molding us to become more like Him daily.” — 1 John 3:2.

“We are the Temple of God; His Spirit dwells in us. When Jesus’ Spirit lives in us, we want to do everything possible to please Him. We would think twice before making a move for fear of displeasing Him.” — 1 Corinthians 3:16. 

“Our bodies are the Temple of the Holy Ghost, which is of God and not ourselves. We are brought with a price to glorify God in our bodies and spirits. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. The Spirit bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God.” — Roman 8:16.

“As God has given to every man, as the Lord has called every one, let him walk in his calling. — 1 Corinthians 7:17 

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” — Ephesians 2:10.

“And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if we suffer with Him, we may also be glorified together.” — Roman 8:17.

That was how Jesus felt; how do we think about Jesus and what He means to us? We are more than conquerors with Jesus’s help; we can move mountains and speak to the storms when we believe in Jesus. We can do all things through Christ, who strengthens us, as it says in Philippians 4:11. 

“We are God’s children justified through Jesus’s Blood and have Jesus’ peace.” — Roman 5:9. 

“We are made free from sin and servants of God.” — Roman 6:22. 

“There is no disapproval in the children of God who walk in the Spirit.” — Roman 8:1. 

We are complete in Jesus because He has given us Grace, as it says in John 1:16 and Colossians 2:10.

As the children of Jesus, we want our lives to shine so that whoever does not know Jesus will ask what is so “important about Jesus and the purpose of serving Him.” That can start a beautiful conversation about the love of Jesus and the things He does for us, seen and unseen. Begin with small things, and let your light shine for Jesus. 

We serve an amazing God whose arms are opened, waiting for us to come. 

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28.
