The lights are back on for most of Victoria this afternoon, but Dominion officials say it’ll be a few more hours before the rest is operational. According to town officials and Dominion Energy staff, a tree fell early this morning across a power line next to the company’s substation in Victoria. The tree falling created a domino effect of sorts, shorting out the line and shutting the substation down.
By noon, power had been restored to most of the town. The only thing remaining at this point is Family Dollar/Dollar Tree. Dominion officials say it’ll take a few more hours, until likely late afternoon, before the store’s power is fully up and running.
