The Lunenburg County Chamber of Commerce will have 200 chamber branded brochures and 200 decals printed.
The Kenbridge-Victoria Dispatch is printing the brochures at no cost; the static window clings are being printed by Signs & Designs for $100, noted the directors report from the chamber’s Thursday meeting.
The chamber agreed at its June meeting to distribute the tri-fold brochures in the community and to distribute the decals to its members.
Chamber President Mel Payne said he would present the cost at the July meeting.
At the time Payne said the chamber will use the brochures and decals as a way to highlight its presence and the locality.
“Every place people look, I want them to see our name,” Payne explained at the July meeting that the chamber is trying to raise its profile and become more active. The group has a talent show and a community-wide gospel concert scheduled for later in the year.
Chamber membership has also increased to 80-90 members.
“We are moving in the right direction,” Payne said. “Membership has more than doubled. We’ve got activities coming up; we’re going to continue to have activities, and they are done by great people. We want people to put their head up in other counties and say, ‘What’s going on in Lunenburg County?’”
