The Lunenburg County Chamber of Commerce is looking to continue to bring events to the local community and incorporate it into fundraisers that will allow them to expand in areas such as offering a scholarship to an area student.

The Chamber has become even more focused on recognizing businesses and now, possibly sponsoring a new scholarship.

In order to continue to support local events and look at helping out area students with a Chamber scholarship, the group is planning several fundraising events. One is having the popular Little Roy & Lizzy Show back in 2016.

The show has been finalized to take place on May 14, 2016.

This year, the show will also include the popular Chase City area band, Appalachian Express. There are several local residents who play with that group and this should bring a big crowd to the concert that will take place at the Kenbridge Town Hall Auditorium.

The organization is also looking to hold a celebrity auction that would feature signed items and other memorabilia as well as a talent show and womanless beauty pageant. The dates and times for these events are still being finalized.
