A volunteer position as a board member for the Board of Zoning Appeals for Lunenburg County may be up for grabs, County Administrator Tracy Gee said during a July 13 Lunenburg County Board of Supervisors meeting.

Gee said that people who live in District One or District Two would be considered.

Current board members are District Three Representative Robin Neal, District Four Representative Tony Trent, who also acts as the liaison from the Planning Commission, District Five Representative Kevin Hodges, District Six Representative Dennis Hudson and District Seven Representative Tony Ehman, Gee said.

Gee said the board addresses zoning issues for properties fewer than two acres. While the volunteer-based board does not meet often, Gee said it most often discusses and votes on large-scale zoning issues that involve the county.
